The Bio
Short and simple – I could have merely said I am just a poor boy from India but the longer version follows below:
Shyamsunder Pappu was Born in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, India in 1957 and matriculated with O-Level from Rishi Valley School (www.rvs.org) which was founded by philosopher Jiddu Krishnamurthy, who also cofounded a school in Ojai, CA USA called Happy Valley School. Happy Valley is now renamed to Beasant Hill School after Annie Beasant who was instrumental in the freedom movement from the British Raj in India, (https://www.besanthill.org/). Would you believe it, yet another school was also cofounded by the philosopher – this time in Brockwood Park, London England. So as you may have guessed Shyam spent his first 17 years in India and the rest here in the US.
Shyam (pronounced Shaum) received Bachelors of Science in Economics from George Mason University, Fairfax, Virginia (www.gmu.edu). In his 25-year professional tenure, Shyam has been involved in economics research and forecasting working at a major telecommunications firm, developing forecasts for key National, State and Regional economic series which were used by company-wide planners, demand forecasters and others and also analysts outside the company. He has also published economic reports, authoring and co-authoring economic and economic development studies. Shyam also had a dual career as a Software Engineer/IT Project Manager (PMP certified thru www.PMI.org) working on large scale Mainframe applications, for Billing, Marketing and Access Systems.
Through the years Shyam has self-taught himself web development using HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, Javascript, JQuery and also backend programming languages such as PHP, MYSQL and others. Shyam has also become very familiar with web hosting, email marketing and other online tools. He intends to take on small business clients soon.
Although a former Realtor, Shyam is now involved in Real Estate as an Investor, specializing in helping Buyers, Sellers, Investors, Realtors and Lenders. Shyam’s focus area is Prince George’s, DC, Baltimore and Montgomery Counties.
Shyam and his wife Denise who is also a Project Manager (and also PMP certified thru www.PMI.org), live in Croom, Maryland. In the recent past they have owned and operated Queenstown Inn Bed and Breakfast in Queen Anne’s county. One of Shyam’s goals is to pursue Sailing and be able to sail back and forth to the Caribbean, Bahamas and Florida from the Bay and DC area. For now they have settled for cruises to the Caribbean (I wonder if he can sail back and forth and do it without all that food….).
